Naming your new dog is a fun, yet stressful decision. Owners may draw inspiration from the dog itself or their favorite movie, sports team, season, food and more: There's a lot to consider.
Chewy , a company that sells food and pet supplies, shared a list of 400 unique dog names earlier this year to pick from and added the top 10 most popular names for pets shared by their customers.
The three most popular dog names this spring, according to Chewy customers, were Bella, Luna and Daisy.
"A good dog name should be short, distinct and easy to pronounce," Chewy said. "One- or two-syllable names work best for training and recall."
A dog's name that reflects their personality or appearance may strengthen the bond between their owner, Chewy added.
