BYRON CENTER, MI — Pete’s Tavern, a Byron Center institution since 1948, is writing its next chapter by expanding its menu while maintaining its role as a community gathering place.
As someone raised in town, general manager Heather Rolfe remembers the tavern being a go-to spot after school. Rolfe and staff are working to enhance its restaurant identity While embracing its tavern roots.
“We take care of our customers and they take care of us,” Rolfe said. “Pete’s has always been the place in Byron Center. It’s just been the center of the town.”
Rolfe noted food is made from scratch, including its pizza dough. Ingredients are sourced locally when possible.
