GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A Grand Rapids man is accused of distributing child pornography in a sextortion investigation that began in the United Kingdom.
Anthony Spetoskey is named in a federal criminal complaint alleging that he possessed and distributed child pornography.
He waived his right to a detention hearing and a preliminary hearing this week and was ordered held pending trial by U.S. Magistrate Judge Phillip Green in Grand Rapids.
In October, U.K. investigators alerted U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) that undercover agents had been in contact with a “subject account,” later identified as belonging to Spetoskey, during an investigation into sexual exploitation of minors, federal court records said.
