How pleased are dog owners with the location of the temporary dog park? So pleased that town officials may make it permanent.
Members of the Barrington Town Council voted unanimously to ask the state to extend the deadline to dismantle the temporary dog park. Officials are also exploring the idea of making it permanent, and there is even talk that the town could keep both dog parks in the future.
The original dog park, located behind the softball field at Haines Park, has been closed since the spring when construction began on the athletic field improvement project in the western part of the park.
