WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A crash shut down U.S. 64 westbound lanes Saturday morning near Lizard Lick Road in Wake County.

The road was closed at Exit 435 (NC 96/N. Arendell Avenue), according to NCDOT. The lanes have since reopened.

This has caused major backups extending to Shepard School Road. Drivers are advised to follow directions from authorities on scene.
