MATTHEWS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- If you're a lover of Italian food, music and culture, this festival is for you.

Ciao Italia Matthews is a festival celebrating Italian culture, music, art, food, science, and products, and paying tribute to the impact that Italian culture has had on all of us.

Mark Tofano, the executive director of the festival, has dreamed of putting on the festival since he moved to Matthews.

The festival takes place on September 20-21 from noon to 8:30 p.m. at Stumptown Park.
