REIDSVILLE, N.C. — UPDATE: Sheriff Sam Page said the suspect is now in custody. More details to come.

PREVIOUS: Several law enforcement agencies are actively searching for a man considered armed and dangerous in Reidsville.

Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said 26-year-old Ni Majae Logan is wanted for an armed carjacking that happened Thursday morning in Danville, Virginia. Investigators said Logan pepper-sprayed a woman and stole her car.

The sheriff's office said the suspect headed south before local authorities spotted him near the Walmart on North Scales Street in Reidsville. The sheriff said a deputy approached the vehicle, and that's when the suspect got out of the car and ran into a wooded area.
