SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A firefighter was injured at the scene of an early morning fire.
On Sept. 13, at 1:04 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Jordan Street.
Firefighters arrived at 1:08 a.m. and saw heavy smoke and fire visible from the house.
Due to the volume of the fire, firefighters took defensive attack actions. Two ladder trucks were used to fire the flame from above.
During the battle, one firefighter received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported from the fire.
33 firefighters were involved in fighting the fire.
The house was vacant at the time of the fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
