CAMDEN, NJ – A Camden father is accused of murdering a Deptford man inside his home and then enlisting his wife and son to help chop up and dispose of the body, prosecutors announced.
Everton Thomas, 41, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Harold “Hal” Miller Jr., 48, who disappeared in June after spending time with friends in Camden. Thomas also faces charges of desecration of human remains and tampering with evidence. His wife, Sherrie Parker, 41, and son, Deshawn Thomas, 22, face related charges for allegedly helping conceal the crime.
Investigators say surveillance video shows Miller entering a residence on the 2600 block of Baird Boulevard around 11:30 a.m. on June 12. Moments later, the recording captured the sound of a gunshot. Miller was never seen leaving. Prosec
