A village pub is reopening under the management of Nutwood Pubs, who want to keep the community at the heart of the pub every step of the way. Martin Prescott, the owner of the Duncombe Arms in Waresley and one of the directors of Nutwood Pubs, said the venue "just felt so right" for him.
He continued: "There are hundreds and hundreds of pubs on the market at the moment. But the Duncombe Arms always appealed to me because it has very similar characteristics to our other Cambridgeshire pub, the Pheasant in Great Chishill. It's in the middle of a village with a number of other villages around it and it is very engaged with the local community.
