SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A deadly crash involving a big rig has caused a section of Interstate 5 to be closed on Saturday morning in Sacramento's Upper Land Park neighborhood, the California Highway Patrol said at 8:03 a.m. No estimated time for reopening was given.

Emergency medical services were dispatched around 7:13 a.m. to the crash site on northbound I-5, just north of Sutterville Road.

It was unclear what caused the crash. A big rig and a pickup truck were invovled. A fatality was reported.
