Washington (DC News Now) -- This week marked the 24th anniversary of September 11th. Americana paused to remember the lives lost during an attack that shook the nation to its core.

Families of victims, survivors, and first responders gathered this week in New York City, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
