A 62-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police alleged that he robbed three banks in the city’s Central District, a press release from the San Francisco police said.

Valentino Luchin of San Francisco reportedly entered a bank on the 1100 block of Grant Avenue at about 12:02 p.m. Sept. 10, passed a note demanding money, and fled with cash, according to the SFPD.

Two similar robberies reportedly occurred later the same day, police noted.

Investigators with the SFPD Robbery Unit, aided by SFPD Ambassadors and community tips, identified Luchin and arrested him without incident, San Francisco police said.

Luchin was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of robbery, attempted robbery and second-degree robbery.
