NEW ORLEANS — The Trump administration has drafted a plan to deploy 1,000 Louisiana National Guard troops to New Orleans and Baton Rouge to support law enforcement, according to .

The documents, confirmed by the Pentagon as authentic, outline a law enforcement mission focused on the state’s “urban centers,” contingent on a formal request from Gov. Jeff Landry, a Republican who has expressed support for the idea, the reported stated.
