A young North Grenville man faces drunk driving charges after a series of collisions left one person with minor injuries in Spencerville on Friday night.

Just before 11 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police’s Grenville County detachment responded to reports of a collision on Centre Street in Spencerville, police said Saturday.

“Multiple vehicles and a hydro pole were damaged during the incident. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries,” police added.

Officers arrested the driver, who was taken to the detachment for testing.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man from North Grenville and charged him with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while impaired, and driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.
