The final period of the Sarnia Sting’s pre-season is a sign of what’s to come, says veteran forward Ryan Brown.
The Sting erased a four-goal deficit in the last frame before losing to the Peterborough Petes 6-5 in a shootout Friday in front of 2,640 fans at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
Brown scored the tying goal with 1:31 left in regulation.
“It’s good to see our team finally come together at the end of pre-season,” he said. “I think that’s a good sneak peak of what we have in store for the rest of the season.”
The Sting went 0-3-0-2 in the pre-season. They’ll start the regular season by hosting the Windsor Spitfires Friday at 7:05 p.m.
