ANN ARBOR – The fans wanted to see Bryce Underwood run, and so he did , leading the team to a 63-3 win over Central Michigan University.

Biff Poggi led the team in the absence of head coach Sherrone Moore, who began serving an eight-day suspension at midnight Friday. Moore’s suspension will continue through the team’s Saturday, Sept. 20 game against Nebraska.

The Wolverines were no worse for wear, far exceeding predictions that had them as four-touchdown favorites over Central Michigan. The true freshman took a 20-yard keeper to the house early in the second quarter, then ran in another rushing TD in the third quarter to record a total of 114 rushing yards. Underwood became the first Michigan quarterback to rush more than 100 yards in a game since Devin Gardner in 2013.
