Syracuse, N.Y. — Drivers can expect temporary road closures on Irving Avenue and Adams Street this month as part of the Interstate 81 Viaduct Project, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Irving Avenue will be closed between Harrison Street and South Crouse Avenue from 9 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 for utility work.

Southbound traffic will be detoured west on Harrison Street, south on Sarah Loguen Street and east on Adams Street back to Irving Avenue.

Northbound traffic will be detoured east on Adams Street, north on South Crouse Avenue and west on Harrison Street back to Irving Avenue.

East Adams Street will be closed between Irving Avenue and South Crouse Avenue from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, DOT said.
