TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — Officer Daniel Swope of the Trussville Police Department was recognized as a “Hometown Hero” during the Alabama vs. Wisconsin football game.
Earlier this year, Officer Swope represented Trussville on the world stage, winning a gold medal at the World Police and Fire Games. The recognition at Saturday’s game highlighted his athletic achievements as well as his service to the community.
“We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own honored in such a big way,” the department said in a Facebook post. “His dedication and competitive spirit reflect the values we admire every day.”
