With murmurs swirling this week around BC Ferries’ foot passenger ferry plan, CHEK News hit the streets of downtown Victoria to hear what travellers had to say about the 25-year vision.
We’re always on the move, always travelling—but how often we take the ferry differs. For some frequent floaters, it’s practically a daily ritual. For others, it’s a rare trip.
A quick poll on the streets of downtown Victoria showed a range of weekly commuters, to occasional travellers, to people like Charlene and Bob from Nanaimo, who leave as infrequently as possible.
“I went over to get my kidney stone out once, and that was it,” says the affable resident of Nanaimo’s Harewood community.
