Celebrating its 28th year, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock team is exactly one week away from hitting the road. But first they need their jerseys.
Friday at Camosun College, 18 cyclists lined up awaiting their jersey presentation as they are gearing up for this year’s Tour de Rock ride.
While the team received its training jerseys back in May, Friday’s ceremony presented cyclists with their tour-riding jersey after earning countless hours training over the past several months.
In the Tour de Rock annual ride for cancer, cyclists ride Vancouver Island from north to south over two weeks in September.
The team of 18 riders includes CHEK’s own Mackenzie Read, and over the past several months, the CHEK reporter has been dedicating her evenings and weekends to training for the event.
