CHAPEL HILL — Demon June went from being put on his behind in practice at the bottom of the depth chart to becoming UNC football ’s top running back.

“First week in pads. You got that pass (protection) pick-up drill, got put on my butt. But it’s part of the game. That was just my welcome-to-college moment,” June, a freshman, said after the Tar Heels’ 41-6 win against Richmond in Week 3 at Kenan Stadium.
