MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that took place Saturday night.

At 6:23 p.m., MPD responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at Central Avenue near Lindsey Street.

A man was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

A female was transported to the hospital, non-critical. This is an ongoing investigation.

As a result, all east and westbound lanes of Central Avenue between Lindsey and South Rembert Street are shut down.
