The Toledo Mud Hens forced extra innings with a ninth-inning home run but eventually fell to the Louisville Bats 6-5 on Saturday at Fifth Third Field.
Riley Unroe’s solo home run tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and the Mud Hens brought the potential winning run to the plate in the bottom of the 10th. But they couldn’t complete the rally and dropped their penultimate home game of the regular season.
Kevin Newman opened the scoring for Toledo in the second inning with an RBI single.
