AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - District play for high school volleyball teams in the Texas Panhandle is underway and many teams had the opportunity to compete on Saturday.

Tascosa Lady Rebels vs. Amarillo High Lady Sandies

The Amarillo High Sandies defeated the Lady Rebels, 3-1. The Lady Sandies took sets one, two and four (25-22, 25-16, 17-25, 25-14). Kinsler Hanson led the team in kills with 14, Harper Vaughn led in assists with 16, Hanson and Sofia Quiles both had two aces, Kensleigh Payne led in blocks with four, and Ellen Head notched 15 digs. They move to 6-0 in district play and 18-9 overall after today’s win. Sandies’ head coach, Haleigh Burns, also notched her 300th career-win today.
