TANEY COUNTY, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) -On Saturday, the Walmart Heart Program proudly honored Ruby Tyler, a courageous young girl living with a rare genetic disorder, in a moving ceremony that celebrated hope, resilience, and the power of community.

Founded in 2006 by a group of Walmart truck drivers with a deep calling to help others, the Walmart Heart Program was born from compassion and a desire to make a difference.

The drivers launched the initiative to support sick and special needs children across the country. Their mission: to make each child an honorary Walmart truck driver, complete with a personalized Walmart uniform shirt and a memorable escort truck ride.
