FISHERS, Ind. — The Indy Ignite officially introduced Lauren Bertolacci as the team's new head coach Saturday outside the Fishers Event Center.
Bertolacci is a setter from Australia who is coming to Indiana after working in Switzerland for the last 20 years.
While in Switzerland, Bertolacci coached her team to a series of league championships. During Saturday's event, she said she's excited to get to work with the reigning Major League Volleyball runners-up.
"Volleyball is the most exciting sport in the world," Bertolacci said. "You don't even have to understand to see how powerful and engaging it is. So I want to build an identity around volleyball here that can really push through the community and excite people about what volleyball is."
The next MLV season begins in January.
