SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Police in South Bend responded to a report of shots fired near the Notre Dame campus Saturday night.
According to a release from the South Bend Police Department , around 10 p.m. on Sept. 13, officers were called to the Eddy Street Commons , just south of the campus of Notre Dame, on a report of shots fired.
Police say no one was shot, but they did receive reports of property damage. Police say at least two people have been detained.
Additionally, police say there is no longer an active threat to the community, but they will remain on-scene to help with crowds and traffic. The incident occurred during Notre Dame's football game against Texas A&M.
