PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - Over in Pineville, the Louisiana Christian University Cheerleaders hosted Mini Cheer Camp on Saturday, September 13, helping kids across Cenla master new skills, chant and cheers.
Later that same day, the Wildcats newest junior cheerleaders also got the opportunity to show off their new skills during a halftime performance at the LCU Football game against Wayland Baptist.
“It’s important to give them a feel of the atmosphere,” said LCU Wildcats sophomore cheerleader Ella Carmouche. “We worked a lot on cheers and dance and stunts, so we put the stunts to the cheers and we got them in their groups and they were able to perform it. They did tumbling, their flips, all their tricks and we taught them their Barbie dance.”
