In high school, the New York Giants star rookie linebacker would come to the sideline after the first quarter and throw ideas at his LaSalle College coaches based on what the teenager saw from the opposing offense tasked with stopping him.
The varsity field was essentially a chess board, and Carter was willing and able to be the piece used to gain an advantage just about everywhere.
He started off ball and dominated the middle of the field. If the offensive line showed any weakness, Carter would spot it and be the one who could exploit it, either off the edge or on the interior.
