BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football receiver Omar Cooper Jr. knows he hit a top speed of 21.9 mph during summer workouts.

He was measured at 21.1 mph on a reverse that he took 75 yards for a touchdown against Kennesaw State.

Cooper was confident he beat both numbers when he turned up field on a 58-yard score early in the fourth quarter of a 73-0 win over Indiana State on Friday. He caught the ball coming across the middle on a post route and easily won the footrace to the end zone by leaving seven defenders in his wake.
