HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - One of Oahu’s largest bon dance festivals took place in West Oahu Saturday.
Megabon celebrated its third year, drawing thousands to Leeward Community College.
The event began with a ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and included taiko and hula performances.
The festivities included nearly 90 food and craft vendors, a beer garden, and games for keiki.
Organizers moved the Megabon to LCC after 18,000 people attended last year’s gathering.
