100 Years Ago, 1925: Four persons were injured at midnight on Saturday night when a light runabout in which they were passengers skidded while traveling at a fast rate of speed, plunged down a 20-foot embankment and landed in the waters of Crum Creek. The accident took place on State Road near the Springfield Water Works, near Media.

75 Years Ago, 1950: The old plans for a vehicle tunnel under the Delaware River, from Hog Island, Delaware County, to Mantua Creek in Gloucester County, N.J., were cited Wednesday at hearings in Philadelphia on the proposal to build a new river crossing below the present Philadelphia-Camden bridge.
