The Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Darby man with trying to pass counterfeit bill at Harrah’s Casino & Racetrack in Chester.
Troopers arrested Orlando Brown, 57, Wednesday.
According to an information release by the Bureau of Gaming:
Shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday, Brown entered the casino and attempted to exchange 12 suspected counterfeit $100 bills for authentic currency.
Casino patrons have been known to try to cash counterfeit bills at the casino, however usually it involves a single bill and troopers find no criminality.
Brown was charged with forgery and presenting false identification to law enforcement.
He was arraigned before District Judge Harry J. Karapalides, who set bail at 10 percent of $25,000, which Brown was unable to post.
