CONNECTICUT, USA — Saint Francis Hospital is currently under a consent order which the Connecticut Department of Health said was modified in August

The Connecticut Department of Public Health laid out why Saint Francis Hospital is under a consent order and why they modified that order in August requiring an expert consultant to spend an additional six months at the hospital.

Dr. Manisha Juthani, the commissioner for the Connecticut Department of Public Health tells Fox61 in September 2024 they entered into a consent order with the Hartford hospital after finding multiple violations, including errors in medication administration, sanitation, and inadequate staffing levels.

Juthani said these issues posed a direct risk to patients.
