It was a great day for baseball.

It was an even better day for a pop-punk festival in a baseball park, which is what we got with Day One of Four Chord Music Festival 11.

The immediate comparison is last year’s Four Chord 10, which was a 95-degree hot mess on the rocky ground of Carrie Furnaces with endless shuttle waits to the Waterfront.

At EQT Park in Washington, Pa., we got a more pleasant (but long) grassy walk up the hill from the mall parking lot and cushy astroturf to stand on for hours.

Venue and weather was not the only upgrade Saturday as promoter Rishi Bahl finally snagged his dream headliner in the awesome Blink-182, which drew 13,000 to the home of the Wild Things.

The sunny afternoon slate featured the likes of Charly Bliss, Driveways, Patent Pending and Bahl’s own band
