SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A weather system passing to our north will lock in seasonable temperatures.
Sunday will bring a few clouds as valley highs once again climb into the mid-80s. Highs in the foothills will reach the low 80s, while peak temperatures in the Sierra will top out in the low 70s. Breezes will pick up periodically as the system moves past the region.
High pressure will follow close behind, ushering in warm northerly winds on Monday. Temperatures will climb back into the mid-90s for the first half of the week.
We are also watching for unsettled weather to return by the end of the week. A small low is expected to approach the Southern California coast before lifting north and spinning up the West Coast. This would bring moisture back into the area along with a chance of shower
