CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. —

Vito Ilagan, owner of Evolution Electric Company in Citrus Heights, is facing political threats after a viral video allegedly celebrating the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was mistakenly linked to his business.

For two days, Ilagan has received harassing calls, fake reviews, and online threats.

“The phone calls are a little scary,” said Ilagan.

His Google reviews have also plummeted.

"I started at 4.9, and it's all the way down to 1.2 now," Ilagan said.

Ilagan tells KCRA 3 it all started with a call on Thursday.

“This guy was mad, and he was cussing me out and just saying every word in the book,” said Ilagan.
