A man has been charged after police seized a weapons cache from a Midland home.

A suspect was detained in connection with firearms offences following a West Midlands Police operation at an address in Comber Drive, Pensnett, at around 6.45pm on Friday, September 12.

Multiple weapons, both viable and imitation, were seized, the force said.

On Sunday afternoon, September 14, Martin Wilson, 35, was charged with multiple firearms offences.

They included using an imitation firearm to resist arrest, possession of a shotgun, possession of a firearm. He was also charged with racially-aggravated harassment and criminal damage.

Wilson was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday, September 15.
