For the second week in a row, the Steelers have lost a key defensive starter to injury in the second quarter.
Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith is doubtful to return Sunday against the Seahawks with an ankle injury. Highsmith was added to the practice report Friday with an ankle injury but had no injury status designation for the game. It’s unclear if it’s the same ankle.
Isaiahh Loudermilk, who’s starting in place of rookie first-round pick Derrick Harmon, also went down in the first quarter with an ankle injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. So Nick Herbig now will play the bulk of the snaps opposite T.J. Watt, with rookie Jack Sawyer as the lone backup. Up front, the Steelers are down to Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton, Yahya Black, Daniel Ekuale and Logan Lee.
