Tributes have been pouring in today for boxing legend Ricky Hatton, who sadly died this morning (September 14).

The Stockport-born fighter was found dead at his home in Gee Cross, Hyde, with Greater Manchester Police confirming that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The devastating news comes months after the Ricky announced his return to boxing with an upcoming fight due in December.

Over the years, Ricky has survived suicide attempts and overcame a decade-long feud with his parents, who he made up with after addressing his own mental health.

His successful boxing career saw him hold multiple world championships, as well as UK titles, and was named Fighter of the Year in 2015.

Friends and fans of the world boxing champion have been paying tribute today.
