BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Authorities said a high-speed chase in northeast Bexar County ended in a crash, sending several people to the hospital—including two sheriff’s deputies.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday when deputies spotted a maroon 2007 BMW 335i weaving through traffic at dangerously high speeds going southbound on I-35 near Weidner Road.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled, prompting a pursuit. Officials say the pursuit was initially terminated after deputies lost sight of the suspect. However, the BMW reappeared moments later and the chase resumed.
