EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Southbound Burkhardt Road is set to close just south of the Lloyd Expressway beginning Monday, September 15, for five days of underground utility work.

Officials advise travelers heading to the Pavilion Shopping Center from the north to find alternate routes while the closure is in effect.

The road is expected to reopen by Saturday, September 20, weather permitting. Authorities reminded residents to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and stay alert in work zones during the construction period.

Motorists can visit INDOT TrafficWise or 511in.org to monitor conditions along the Lloyd Expressway.
