PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting Sunday morning in Pueblo.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), officers were notified at 8:05 a.m. of a strong-arm robbery in the 1100 block of Bonforte Boulevard.

Officers found the suspect and a vehicle that matched the description near 8th Street and Glendale Avenue. A vehicle pursuit ensued, and the suspect’s vehicle crashed in the 700 block of West 8th Street.

Police say the suspect then became combative and pulled out a knife. Officers reportedly told him to drop the knife several times, but they say he refused and was subsequently shot.
