Before Emmys host Nate Bargatze made one wisecrack, we were already Longchamping at the bit to hand out the evening's first awards: the best-dressed honors.
And who can blame us? To celebrate TV's biggest night (CBS and Paramount+, 8 ET/5 PT), the stylish stars blossomed like a "White Lotus" on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. They avoided "Shrinking" when faced with the task at hand − wowing us – and they didn't rely on a run-of-the-mill "Penguin" suit. Bravo, ladies and gentlemen!
The celebrities present leaned into refined elegance and neutrals. So many A-listers arrived in black, white or a combination of the two, with a sprinkling of metallics − hello, "Gilmore Girls" alum Alexis Bledel, "Nobody Wants This" star Justine Lupe and "Niki" actress Charlotte Le Bon.
Here are our favorites, in no particular order.
Selena Gomez
Mabel Mora looks quite glamorous outside of the Arconia.
"Only Murders in the Building" star Selena Gomez solved the case of what to wear to the Emmys by choosing a one-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown with a long, flowing train.
Angela Bassett
"9-1-1" star Angela Bassett surely caused quite a commotion in a gorgeous dress designed by Yara Shoemaker. Bassett complemented the strapless metallic style with wavy tresses parted to the side.
Kristen Bell
Jaws surely dropped in a contagion as Kristen Bell strutted down the red carpet in a glitzy Giorgio Armani Privé gown. The beaded, backless top added edge to the sheer gown, embellished with sequins and crystals.
Alexis Bledel
Raise your cup of coffee (from Luke's) to toast "Gilmore Girls" star Alexis Bledel and her dreamy silver, figure-hugging frock designed by Marmar Halim.
Bledel and her onscreen mom (Lauren Graham) reunited to mark the upcoming 25th anniversary of the show's premiere, coming Oct. 5.
Quinta Brunson
"Abbott Elementary" star and creator Quinta Brunson graduates to the head of the class in a sleek Louis Vuitton column gown with bejeweled straps and a plunging neckline.
Pedro Pascal
"The Last of Us" star Pedro Pascal looked so very sharp in a monochromatic ivory suit by Celine with matching white shoes. A pair of sunglasses added to the cool factor.
Leslie Bibb
Leslie Bibb looked every bit a "Palm Royale" thanks to a Giorgio Armani Privé gown with sculpted bodice and glitzy, cinched waist. The silk velvet number is so chic!
Meghann Fahy
Meghann Fahy ditched the colorful Lilly Pulitzer from Netflix's popular "Sirens" for an anything-but-basic black gown. She adorned her open neckline with a diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co. featuring more than 11 carats.
Lisa
Lisa (aka Lalisa Manobal) from Blackpink might as well be wearing "Pink Venom" because we are stunned!
The singer, who also appeared in Season 3 of "The White Lotus," looked like a cotton-candy dream in a swirling design by Lever Couture.
Charlotte Le Bon
Another "White Lotus" killing it at the Emmys. The TV star turned every screen featuring the red carpet into a silver screen.
If the long-sleeved, ankle-length gown from the French fashion house Courrèges were a retreat, we'd be booking a very extended stay.
Justine Lupe
Justine Lupe, everyone's favorite sister on Netflix's romantic comedy "Nobody Wants This" (returning for Season 2 Oct. 23), is also one of our favorite looks on the carpet.
The actress sparkled in a Carolina Herrera halter dress constructed of a bedazzled grid with paillette sequins placed like falling confetti.
Walton Goggins
Walton Goggins rivals a "White Lotus" breeze in a relaxed interpretation of Louis Vuitton formalwear.
An open jacket, with barely buttoned collared shirt, accessorized with a turquoise necklace, Goggins is the definition of effortlessly snazzy.
Molly Gordon
Molly Gordon is timelessly chic in a vintage, strapless Giorgio Armani gown from the brand's Fall/Winter 1996 showing.
The black and white-blocked column gown could certainly be a staple on "The Bear" menu. Gordon's eye-catching platinum and diamond necklace was plucked from the Tiffany & Co. archives.
