AMHERST, NY — A Buffalo man suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler in Amherst.
The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, according to an Amherst Police statement. That's where a 32-year-old man was driving a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Main Street.
Police said a 50-year-old Buffalo woman driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Main Street attempted to turn left onto northbound Callodine Avenue and entered the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle and Jeep collided, ejecting the rider from the bike. Police said the motorcyclist suffered serious head and hand injuries and was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. Police said he's currently in stable condition.
