RCMP are providing an update on the shooting this weekend that took the life of a 44-year-old Weyburn woman.

On Friday, Weyburn Police Service members responded to an incident report shortly after 8:00 p.m. near the Richardson Pioneer and Viterra grain terminals. Weyburn RCMP and EMS also responded to the incident, which was later categorized as a "suspicious death". Two females from Weyburn were traveling toward Weyburn on Highway 39 when a bullet pierced their vehicle from behind, killing the passenger. The driver of the SUV was not physically harmed and is not considered a suspect.

Upon further investigation, a white truck appeared to have also been traveling on Highway 39, ahead of the SUV. Police say it was parked alongside Highway 39 around the time of the shooting and may or may n
