The Philadelphia Eagles have the Kansas City Chiefs' number. That's, at least, according to their last two meetings.

In February, the Eagles pummelled the Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59. It never even felt all that close. They followed up that championship beatdown by beating the Chiefs in Kansas City in a Super Bowl rematch on Sunday and sending them to their first 0-2 start in the Patrick Mahomes era.

As the Eagles began taking knees to salt away the victory, mics picked up what sounded like Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones talking trash to Hurts. Jones appeared to taunt Hurts by telling him he didn't even have 100 passing yards in the game (which, for the record, seems to be untrue based on the final box score, albeit by a smidge).

Hurts seemed to respond in kind. It sounded like he told Jones his comment was irrelevant since the Chiefs lost this Super Bowl rematch anyway. Honestly, that's the only rebuttal necessary. Oh, sorry. Hurts might have been a lot less nice about Jones being a sore loser than I made it sound:

If I'm being candid, I'm a little surprised Jones would make this comment amid his team's loss. Hurts' statistics don't mean anything if the Eagles come away with the victory. That's not the sort of commentary or mentality I would expect from a likely future Hall of Famer while the Chiefs struggle to get their 2025 season off the ground.

We'll see how the fallout from this situation develops.
