IOWA CITY — Iowa (2-1, 0-0 Big Ten) beat UMass (0-3, 0-0 Mid-American) 47-7 in the final non-conference game of the 2025 season.

Head coach Kirk Ferentz surpassed Ohio State coaching legend Woody Hayes as the winningest coach in Big Ten history with his 206th win on Saturday.

Hank Brown leads touchdown drive

Iowa quarterback Hank Brown came in in relief of Mark Gronowski for the final play of the third quarter and the remainder of Saturday's matchup.

The Auburn transfer led a 10-play, 57-yard touchdown drive in his first action since week one.

Brown went 3-of-4 for 13 yards and a touchdown. Brown found KJ Parker for a two-yard touchdown on first and goal from the UMass 2-yard line.
