ROCK HILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Every year since a 20-year-old was killed in a drive-by in Rock Hill, the Sanctuary of Life Outreach Center holds a service for the victim with the hope that bringing awareness will hopefully bring her justice.
Alexia Massey was killed on Hagins Street on May 10, 2021. She was living in Spartanburg at the time, but was visiting Rock Hill for Mother's Day.
Officials believe the suspect or suspects fired at least a dozen shots and one of them hit Massey. They also believe the shooting was gang-related.
It's been over four years, and no one has been charged in her death.
The service on Sunday was intended to remind the community of the unsolved crime.
